This is the introduction to 27 Close Calls™ and the Close Call Method™.
Based on our handbook for adult women, 27 Close Calls™, we examine real cases told to us by the women that lived through them to identify the top Safety Situations™ to be aware of and the Hero Moves™ that can save your life when you find yourself in a close call.

ADVANCED COURSES
27 CLOSE CALLS ADVANCED SERIES
This series of advanced level courses are designed to cover specific topics such as Predator Methods™ and stalking. They can be taken in any order, but the Basics course is a prerequisite.
This is where we get into the nitty-gritty of what predators do to get their way and how we can greatly reduce our own risk. Cases are rougher but the reward is knowing how to see bad guys sooner and mitigate violence.

HOW IT SAVES LIVES
Most women we talk to have not spent much time really considering their own safety which is shocking because nearly every woman has either experienced violence or knows someone that has. The CDC estimates 1.9* million women are raped every year in the United States. We have a real, simple and effective way to drastically reduce that number and directly reduce the risk to each woman that learns our strategy: The Close Call Method™.
The Close Call Method™ is simple and straightforward so any woman can learn it and use it immediately. Using cases told to us first hand by the women that lived them, we analyze the most likely situations for violence, the warning signs, and show you how to get out of a bad situation once you are in one.

NEW COURSE SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED

Classes are now scheduled around registrations for efficiency and to meet class size requirements. We have tested it a few different ways, but because we are a young organization without much recognition yet, we are operating with limited resources.
Our mission is to make people, and especially women, as safe as possible. By teaching this method to women we believe we can make them up to 90% safer in a world where rape is a daily occurrence. Please help make yourself or the women you care for safer by taking the Basics class, giving it as a gift, or sharing our mission. Together, we can empower women to keep themselves safe from violence.
ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR BEGINNERS

1. Make sure you test the meeting link given in the confirmation email to assure you are able to use the meeting software.
2. Buy the book so you have the cases handy.
3. Arrive early and be in a quiet, private setting for the class. We begin promptly at the starting time. If you are late or have technical difficulties, you may be removed from the class and may enter another.

Monica Kluger
Senior Instructor
For almost two decades, Monica has been a proponent of teaching women how to be safe, first as a martial arts instructor and then as an NRA Basic Pistol instructor. She feels strongly about encouraging women to value and prioritize their lives by doing simple things like paying attention to their surroundings and acting on their intuition when there’s a potential for danger instead of choosing to “be polite” instead. Becoming an instructor for the Close Call Academy was a natural fit for Monica and she is excited to bring this program to as many people as possible.
Monica has most recently been teaching in her home town of Cheyenne, WY and has led numerous live classes online.
